Managing Partner Jon Young and Chef Partner Stephen Dunne invite you to discover Paramount Room - a modern food & drink spot in a 100 year old former speakeasy in River West. Paramount Room features a unique, dual level space loaded with urban charm and contemporary design elements created by Nicole von Meier Design. On the street level, a handsome storefront tavern space features exposed brick, lofted ceilings, distressed wood floors, an open kitchen, cozy booths and an indigo color-scheme accented by dark wood tones. One floor below, a resurrected prohibition-era basement speakeasy has been completely redesigned with chic modern lounge elements and high, dramatic ceilings.

Paramount Room is located 1 1/2 blocks south of the intersection of Grand, Milwaukee & Halsted - just south of the viaduct at Milwaukee & Hubbard (we are 2 blocks west of East Bank Club at Kinzie and Milwaukee).

Taking Public Transportation

Blue line, stop at Grand/Milwaukee/Halsted and walk 1 1/2 blocks  south, just past Hubbard and under the viaduct.

Halsted bus north/south to Grand (walk 1 1/2 blocks  south, just past Hubbard and under the viaduct).

Milwaukee bus south to Kinzie - we are directly across the street from the bus stop and just north of the intersection.

Driving

Located in Chicago at 700W/400N just north of the Des Plaines bridge on Milwaukee at Kinzie. Mapquest us here.

From the expressway north (Kennedy or Edens) exit Ogden and go straight through two lights to Grand, turn left heading east on Grand and cross overpass, then turn right heading south on Milwaukee. Continue past Hubbard - we are located just beyond the viaduct on the left.

From the expressway south (Eisenhower towards Wisconsin, Dan Ryan) exit Ohio, turning right at the light on Orleans, then turn right again onto Grand going west. Continue over bridge, past the stop sign and railroad tracks, then make an immediate left on Des Plaines. Pass under viaduct, then turn right onto Milwaukee - we are on the right.

One more way to get to us: Exit Ohio and turn right on Franklin  heading 4 blocks or so south until the street dead ends into Kinzie, make a right turn at the stop light and then head west over the bridge, after 1 block you will pass the railroad tracks, at the next block you will make a soft right turn at the light onto Milwaukee. Paramount Room will be located on your immediate left.
